Yalla vs Zoho CRM, in short
Zoho CRM is a mature, inexpensive, per-seat CRM: Standard £12/user/mo, Professional £18, Enterprise £35, Ultimate £42, plus a free edition for 3 users. For three people on Standard that is £36/mo against Yalla Starter at £55. Zoho wins on price per seat, depth of classic CRM and the size of its ecosystem. Yalla wins when the sales themselves happen in chat: WhatsApp Business API, Instagram, Facebook and TikTok DMs in one inbox, unlimited AI-written broadcasts, autonomous agents, and AI that generates your images, video and captions. Zoho reaches WhatsApp through integrations and add-ons rather than as a core surface.
Pick the one that matches how you actually sell.
Choose Zoho CRM if…
- You want a deep, classic CRM — forecasting, CPQ, territories, inventory, custom modules.
- You are licensing many seats and per-user pricing works out cheaper.
- You already run Zoho Books, Desk, Campaigns or Zoho One and want it all joined up.
- You need heavy customisation, sandboxes and a developer platform.
- You want a free edition for up to 3 users while you get started.
Choose Yalla if…
- Most of your leads arrive as WhatsApp, Instagram or Facebook messages.
- You want broadcasts, templates and Meta approval inside the CRM, not through an add-on.
- You want AI agents replying and booking overnight, in 90+ languages.
- You want to be live this week without an implementation partner.
- You would rather not add a seat charge every time the team grows.

What it costs
Per seat against flat. Zoho is cheaper for small teams on the lower editions; the gap narrows fast as you add people and features.
Chat channels
The reason this page exists. Zoho is a superb CRM that was not designed around a WhatsApp inbox.
Classic CRM depth
Zoho’s section. Two decades of CRM engineering, and it shows.
AI and content
Zia is a capable sales AI. It is aimed at records and forecasts; ours is aimed at conversations and campaigns.
Getting live
Where a focused product beats a configurable one, and the row a price list never shows.
The differences that actually change your week.
Records-first versus conversation-first
Zoho starts from the record: leads, accounts, deals, forecasts. Yalla starts from the thread. If your sales are a stream of DMs that need answering within minutes, the conversation-first design is the one that fits — and if your sales are quotes, renewals and forecasts, Zoho’s is.
WhatsApp is a project on Zoho and a checkbox here
Getting WhatsApp working properly on Zoho means choosing an integration or BSP, wiring templates in Meta Business Manager, and accepting that broadcasts live in another product. On Yalla it is included from the entry plan, with template approval submitted in-app.
Per seat versus flat
Zoho is cheaper per head and that advantage grows with headcount. But every new hire is a new line item, and the edition you need for the features you want is usually a tier above the one you first priced. Yalla bundles 3–5 users into a flat price with everything switched on.
Depth you may never touch
CPQ, territories, sandboxes and custom modules are genuinely powerful. They are also the features most often paid for and never configured. Worth being honest with yourself about which half of Zoho you will actually use.
When Zoho CRM is genuinely the better call.
You need real CRM depth
Forecasting, CPQ, inventory, territory management, custom modules, developer sandboxes. We have none of it and are not building most of it. For a structured B2B sales org with quotes and renewals, Zoho is the better tool.
You are already in the Zoho ecosystem
If you run Books, Desk, Campaigns or Zoho One, the joins are already made and the data already flows. Adding a separate chat platform means one more integration to own.
Per-seat maths works in your favour
Ten users on Professional is about £180/mo against roughly £224/mo on Yalla Growth with extra seats. At larger headcounts on lower editions, Zoho is clearly cheaper.
Email is your main channel
Zoho’s email intelligence, cadences and deliverability tooling are stronger than ours. If your outbound is email sequences rather than WhatsApp broadcasts, they are the better fit.
If that sounds like you, buy Zoho CRM. We’d rather you chose right than chose us.
Moving from Zoho CRM to Yalla.
Zoho exports cleanly and its pipeline model maps closely onto ours, so the data move is straightforward. The work is in re-pointing your channels.
- Export leads, contacts, accounts and deals from Zoho CRM as CSV.
- Import into Yalla and map Zoho stages onto your Yalla pipeline — we do this with you on a call.
- Connect WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook and TikTok, and submit your message templates for Meta approval inside Yalla.
- Rebuild the workflows that earn their keep as Yalla Flows.
- If you keep Zoho Books or Desk, wire them to Yalla with webhooks and the API on the Growth plan.
Yalla vs Zoho CRM: the questions people actually ask.
Why are these prices in pounds?
Because Zoho serves pricing by region and returned GBP from our location. Rather than convert and introduce an error, we compared like for like against Yalla’s own GBP list price. Zoho’s USD figures differ — check their pricing page from your own country before deciding.
Is Zoho CRM cheaper than Yalla?
Per seat, generally yes. Standard is £12/user/mo and Professional £18, so three users on Standard is about £36/mo against £55 for Yalla Starter. What that price does not include is the WhatsApp Business API, broadcasts, template management or AI content generation, all of which are in our number.
Does Zoho CRM support WhatsApp?
It can, through integrations, partner BSPs and other Zoho products — but WhatsApp is not part of the CRM licence the way it is here. Expect to choose an integration, manage templates in Meta Business Manager, and run broadcasts from Zoho Campaigns rather than the CRM.
How does Zia compare with Yalla Brain?
They are pointed at different jobs. Zia predicts, scores and forecasts against your CRM records, and it is good at it. Yalla Brain writes replies in your voice, runs autonomous agents that qualify and book in 90+ languages, and generates images, video and social captions. If you want AI that reads your pipeline, Zia. If you want AI that answers your customers and makes your marketing, Brain.
Is Zoho harder to set up?
Generally yes, and that is the flip side of its depth. Zoho rewards someone owning the configuration, and many teams buy partner implementation. Yalla ships opinionated defaults — connect a channel and you are selling the same day, with onboarding included free.
Can I use both?
Yes, and for some businesses that is the right answer: Zoho as the system of record for quotes, invoices and forecasts, Yalla as the chat layer where the selling actually happens. Our API and webhooks on the Growth plan push closed deals across.
